We left our hearts and souls in Italy

Not too long ago we ventured off to Italy and spent an amazing month exploring the country.

Jane along with her wonderfully talented boyfriend captured the awe-inspiring and magnificent sights behind their canon EOS 500d's.

Since then Italy has captured our hearts and become our favourite destination.

We are bringing tie dye back and turning boring denim shorts into a hippies dream for all of you living in the southern hemisphere. As well as creating these pieces we will be putting the finishing touches on our third vintage collection... wowzies, it's going to be a busy weekend!

Jane with Louise has jumped on the bandwagon and joined the latest craze Instagram. You can find us by searching for the user name janewithlouise and will be the first to see sneak peaks of photo shoots, new collections and what we do when we do it. We will also be posting all Instagram pics up onto our facebook page so dont forget to like us to keep up to date :).

London Town

London....... a busy, bustling and beautiful haven filled with endless amounts of adventure. There are so many places to see and things to do, that we are never left with a dull moment. Just the other day we were walking down Brick Lane and were lured into an art gallery by a promise of free cider and a ping pong tournament, which around here is nothing short of abnormal. Our lifestyles have become crazy and spontaneous but we wouldn't have it any other way.

The people are also what makes London such an amazing place to live.  They are so unique and wonderful and from all over the world. This diversity just adds to the atmosphere of a big city, of course, along with all the sights, sounds and smells.

Our days have been spent being tourists, scouring charity stores, eating curries on Brick Lane, experiencing the Soho night life and most importantly working on our third vintage collection. We are having a great time here in London and we are glad we made the big move.

If you ever get the chance come visit us in London :). Mind-the-Gap.

And it begins...

Jane with Louise started as a creative idea which we thought would only ever amount to a dream. This idea was fuelled by our combined love of fashion and our love for scouring op shop racks for that perfect vintage piece. Through this shared love, our idea was to create an online store where we could supply vintage lovers with affordable pieces from all over the world.

To make this dream a reality we had to spend many hours communicating and relying on technology, anything bar face to face chats, as Jane was living in Perth and Louise resided in Melbourne. The times we did spend together usually only lasted a couple of days in which we would try to cram as much work as we could while also fitting in D&M chats and Cadbury’s Black Forrest chocolate binges. All in all, we managed to release two vintage collections which only made us more determined for this to work. But in order to make Jane with Louise work we knew we had to make a big decision. After much discussion our plan of attack was to move to London where we had met 2 years previously. Although it was a big decision it wasn’t necessarily a difficult one, London was the perfect choice for us. Our shared love and adoration for London and its fashion made the move more exciting than daunting.

So here we are London town, where Jane with Louise, we hope, can be turned from a dream into a beautiful reality. This blog will be our online diary where we can share with you our ideas, creations, adventures and of course our collections.

So let’s share with you who we are.....

Jane is a little ray of sunshine that inspires happiness and peace all around her. Her dedication and optimism and of course fantastic style has helped give life to Jane with Louise. If she could she would dress like a travelling gypsy every single day with long flowing dresses, wavy hair and a dream catcher around her neck but, throw some vintage pieces in there, some quirky accessories and some black stockings and boots and Jane is created.

Louise is a true indie rocker at heart whose spirit is as free as blue birds flying across the sky. She likes to pair dark dresses with unique stockings and colourful vintage blazers or jackets. Her determination, fun loving nature, eclectic style and fearless mind gives her the power to make the world hers and brings the other half of Jane with Louise to life.

So this is us, this is Jane with Louise.
